This page sets out the accessibility standard this site is built to, how we check it, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
The standard we build to
This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as its baseline, and we aim to meet that standard on every page. No independent audit has checked the site, so this page describes our target and how we work, not a certified result.
What we check
These checks run on the site today:
- Before any change is released, a script measures the contrast between the site’s text colors and the backgrounds they sit on, pair by pair, against the WCAG AA ratios. A pair that falls short stops the release.
- The same release check reads each input field whose attributes are written out in full in the site’s source code. It fails if such an input declares no type, if one you type into is named for an email address or phone number and does not use the matching type, or if one you type into is named for your name, email, phone or address and carries no autocomplete attribute.
- When a change alters how a page looks, the page is reviewed in a browser at 390 and 1440 pixels wide, a phone and a desktop screen. The review moves through the page by keyboard and measures focus states and the colors of each interactive state.
- The site is built from semantic HTML, so headings, lists, forms and page regions are marked up as what they are, and every interaction is built to work from a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
Known limitations
We know of none today; if you find one, tell us and we will fix it.
Report a problem
If something on this site does not work for you, email yoz@lumasyndigital.com.
It helps to include:
- The address of the page
- The device and browser you were using, and any assistive technology, such as a screen reader
- What you were trying to do, and what happened
We will reply to your report within 7 days. If the contact form is what does not work, an email reaches us the same way.
